Peruvian pisco to participate in the
London Distil 2008 Fair
PRODUCE | 15.04.08 | Pisco will participate in the English London Distil 2008 fair, one of the most important events in the sector. However, the stand will be smaller than originally planned. Mr. Jose Moquillaza, Executive Director of the Regulatory Council for the Pisco Appellation of Origin, explained that the reduction of the exhibition area for Peruvian pisco makers is due to a cut to the initial budget.
He said that the public sector had committed to cover 60% of the originally estimated amount (approximately US$ 90,000).
London Distil is the first fair specialized in spirits, and Peru had planned to present pisco as a category this year, together with its different preparations.
