ANDINA | 23.10.07 |The Pisco Producers Association of Ica (Apropica) will organize the 6th National Pisco Congress from November 15th to 18th. In this meeting, they will analyze and propose alternatives for strengthening the pisco industry after the effects of the earthquake of August 15th, announced today the Ministry of Production.
The General Director of Industry of the Ministry and president of the National Commission of Pisco (CONAPISCO), Johann Spitzer, expressed he is satisfied with these activities, taking into account the challenges posed by the earthquake that occurred in Pisco and affected several southern cities.
He added that the idea of continuing with the 14th National Pisco Contest came from the producers themselves, who make a clear demonstration of strength in the face of difficulties.
This event will gather authorities, vine-growers, pisco producers and entrepreneurs from the sector.
Its main activities will include master conferences, technical visits to cellars, discussion workshops on the main issues affecting the sector, guided tasting, among others.
It is worth mentioning that the first National Pisco Congress was held in 2002 in Ica.

Additionally, it has constant presence in main gastronomical and cocktail publications around the world where it is described as one of the most exquisite distilled drinks.
